The Mochizuki district of Saku City, called Koma no Sato (Village of horses), has long been known as a horse ranch, where people and horses have a close relationship. The staff dormitories of the horseplay park in Kasuga Onsen, created as a symbol of the park, have recently been renovated. Since Mochizuki means full moon, curving shapes are scattered around in various places and finished with wood and stucco plaster. Through the windows, visitors can watch the horses trotting or frolicking around the stables.
Kasuga Onsen is a small hot spring resort located in abundant natural surroundings with over 300 years of history and high quality of spring water. There are hot spring inns and quiet parks within walking distance, and if you go a little further, you will find unique restaurants and cafes in Mochizuki. Please enjoy the hot spring while thinking about the lives and landscapes of our ancestors who lived together with horses and feel the passage of time.
